About Us Our Purpose We have a simple perspective of what church should be at Temple Baptist Church. We believe that our purpose is to worship, connect, and serve.
We exist first and foremost to worship Jesus Christ in all things. This is more than just music to us. We believe that worship is meant to be a way of life.
We also exist for each other - to connect with one another. It is easy to go to church and not build deep, truly impacting relationships. We try hard to facilitate an environment where that does not happen to you. We want you to be a connected part of our family. We desire to grow together in our relationship with each other, with our families, and with our God.
But it's not all about us. We are here to serve the world. We serve those who are part of this church family by using our unique gifts and talents. The main way we serve our community is through our involvement with Eastside Ministries (Food and Clothing Shelter) and the VOA Halfway House. We serve world by our financial support and short-term mission trips that share God's love pracitcally - from orphanages to schools to churches - in every corner of the world.

Our Beliefs
About God
We believe in one God who exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
About Jesus Christ We believe that Jesus Christ is God the Son, virgin-born, died on the cross, resurrected from the dead, is coming again, and is the only way to heaven.
About The Holy Spirit We believe that the Holy Spirit lives in every Christian, provides power for living, gives understanding, and provides guidance for doing what is right.
About Human Beings We believe that all people are created in the image of God but became alienated from God through sin, and as a result, need salvation.
About Salvation We believe that salvation is a gift of God to all who receive it. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ can anyone be saved.
About Eternal Security We believe God gives people eternal life through Jesus Christ.
About Eternity We believe that people will exist eternally either separated from God in Hell or in union with God in Heaven.
About The Bible We believe the Bible was verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings. It is the supreme authority in all matters of truth.
About The Church We believe that the church is the body of Christ. We believe all Christians are to be in covenant with a local body of believers.
About Human Sexuality We believe that God's design for human sexuality is the marriage of one woman to one man. All sexual practices outside of God's plan are sinful.
